Citizen Deb Saves the World
Citizen Deb Saves the World

For people who care about the environment, but are just too darn BUSY to figure out what to do.

I’m Deb, and I’m an environerd. This podcast (an audio version of my blog, CitizenDeb.com) is part of my attempt to save the planet...or at least get folks to use less plastic. Topics range from the myth of recycling to town hall solar shenanigans to making climate solutions CUTE.

This thing called “the environment” is overwhelming. Definitely intimidating. And sometimes boring. Deb is the perfect person to explain it. So listen up. :-)

We’ll tell the incredible story of how monkeys crossed the Atlantic ocean on natural rafts, and we’ll explain why it gets hotter the deeper you dig underground.

The Resilience Brief
The Resilience Brief
The threat of climate change to long-term, global security is well publicised. However, current political narratives, financial constraints and short-term threats have combined to leave sustainability initiatives and the area of climate intelligence an unfunded priority within NATO. At the same time, many climate change and sustainability practitioners have struggled to communicate a comprehendible narrative that suits a defence client. In short, prioritisation of traditional battlefield requirements threatens long-term resilience within our Armed Forces. In the first series of The Resilience Brief podcast, we explore different facets of operational resilience for NATO armed forces. Our hosts, hosts Dr Sarah Ashbridge (RUSI/CCIP) and Lieutenant Colonel Alistair Beard (British Army) will navigate topics such as the future operating world, interoperability, and technologies, whilst also reflecting on domain specific requirements. 23 leading experts and practitioners will share their insights as to what holds strategic value for the Alliance, and the actions that can help us to improve resilience today. This podcast has been enabled thanks to kind sponsorship of Frazer-Nash Consultancy and the NATO Climate Change and Security Centre of Excellence (NATO CCASCOE). This project was delivered by Dr Sarah Ashbridge of S A Consultancy (Yorkshire) Ltd) with production services provided by Two Jacks Communications Ltd. Weather With Enthusiasm !
This podcast is made by weather enthusiast Simcha Lefton..

This podcast speaks about storms, heateaves and other weather extremes impacting the Midwest and sometimes elsewhere. The delivery is passionate and professional.
A lot of hard work and about many hours of time and money is invested in each episode.  Preparation is done reading through forecast discussions from the 5 national weather service offices that cover the marine synopsis for the great lakes. Additional offices used include several more cities depending on where the storm in question will be developing. The computer models as advertised on Windy.com are used in the preparation as well with an emphasis on the European model.
Yad Hashem is very apparent through the information provided when making a weather forecast. In addition,  weather forecasting itself reveals this as well. Recently, this is a topic that has been explored.

Inconvenient Chats
Inconvenient Chats
Climate change is real, accelerating, and profoundly urgent - yet the world isn’t changing quickly or deeply enough. In our experience, many important conversations are being avoided, maybe unintentionally. They're inconvenient: messy, emotionally charged, a little uncomfortable, ideologically polarized, or simply complex. This is why we have started Inconvenient Chats, our podcast to create room for some of these conversations – not with all the answers, but with honest questions. We believe that if something makes you uncomfortable, that’s often a sign it’s worth exploring. We’re two friends who both have been working with climate change and sustainability for a number of years. Each week we’ll explore a new topic, we break it down, discuss different perspectives and explore solutions – and hopefully feel more comfortable talking about them. The episodes will be short and will come out every week.We want to challenge ourselves to think, understand and question our assumptions about the world and ourselves. And learn a bunch on the side. So join us when we are making space for the voices in our own heads - the doubts, fears, wonderings. We invite you to come along in that exploration. By having uncomfortable conversations openly, with curiosity, we hope to invite and encourage dialogues that explore difficult topics with critical thinking, emotional honesty, and kindness in a world that often prioritizes perfection and certainty. If it’s inconvenient, let’s chat.
