Warm Blessings Community Kitchen recently reopened after the passing of Executive Director Dawn Cash. Board Member Diana Leathers said they continue to serve hot meals M-F 5:45-6:30pm and offer meal deliveries for shut-ins. Dignity services such as shower & laundry continue to be available Monday, Thursday and Friday 8am – 3pm. Leathers says clients should schedule appointments, but they can stop in and see if there is availability or to schedule a time. Pantry services will now be handled by Feeding America Kentucky’s Heartland. They will announce the plan once the details are finalized.

Applications are open for Scholarship Central.

The Patton Museum is doing a fundraiser with custom knives made from wood from WWII barracks formerly at Ft. Knox.

Justin Blair from Hardin County’s Quick Response Team talked about the overdose spike in the county. The QRT offers resources for those who need it, no questions asked and no repercussions. 

The 3rd Derby in December is happening December 11, 2025 at the Derby Museum.

Warm Blessings Community Kitchen’s double oven went out. They are trying to raise $10,000 to cover the cost of a new one and installation. They are on track to feed 20,000 meals to the community this month.

Knox Regional Development Alliance Vice President Beth Avey talked about the Fort Knox Workforce Resource & Financial Assistance Fair that was originally scheduled, but cancelled since the government shutdown ended. Avey also explained what the organization does.

Students at Bluegrass Middle School are collecting supplies to make care packages for patients at the UofL Cancer Center.

Baptist Health Hardin & Hardin County Schools are having an Overdose Simulation on Nov.5, 2025 at the Hardin County School’s Performing Arts Center. This is open to the public.

Feeding America Kentucky’s Heartland is doing it’s part to help keep the community fed.
