Welcome back to the MBA Podcast where each week, or there about, we explore the side streets and rabbit holes around movies books and albums.

(Which incidentally is probably what Rian Johnson would have called the Rise of Skywalker if he was given access to another Star Wars film… but I digress…and I promised Dave and Dev I was not going to bring The Last Jedi up again.)  Enjoy the Podcast...

In this festive episode we explore the 1981 Boney M Christmas Album. During the adventure we visit the outback no less than two times, to investigate murders on the mudflats and the Great Emu War of 1932. We also learn about ritual mutilation from 19th and 20th Century German University Dueling and even some new Christmas carol facts.

The departure point for this December Road Trip Bumper Episode is Wes Anderson’s 2024 retelling of Roald Dahl, in “The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, and Three more”.

We had optimistically planned for a light 20 minute episode to fit the remaining "Free-Hosting" time budget for the month... Alas! Roald Dahl happened.

Welcome to Episode "6~7" of the MBA Podcast.

In this two-part third episode we discuss the long awaited true sequel to the 1997 hit movie George of the Jungle, where Brendon Fraser reprises his titular role in Darren Aronofsky’s bold portrayal of the trials and tribulations of Act 2 in George’s Life, in his 2022 film, “The Whale”. 

We also discuss the 2017 album, “Anti Venom” by Black Mamba Man, and track the parallels between these two bodies of work, as well as other surprising influences.

Unseen by the listener, Devon is dressed in a gown and sunglasses during this episode, channeling his inner-Dude. This doesn't stop him dropping a serious flex which almost derails the episode in the first few minutes. Fortunately, being the consummate professionals we are, some discussion around the 1998 cult classic, "The Big Lebowski"; and the 2000 Album, "Songs from an American Movie Volume 1: Learning How to Smile" by Everclear is still salvaged.
