This looks like desperation

Today we're looking into Russia's second-ever combat use of their Oreshnik IRBM. Last night they fired this missile into western Ukraine striking a target in Lviv. The explanation of forcing a seismic event seems a bit odd but this is best viewed as a signal to the west, another form of saber rattling to pressure Ukraine's allies to settle the war on Russian terms.

Ukraine just tricked Russia out of $500,000

Today we're looking into a recent GUR operation where they faked someone's death to collect a bounty from Russia. Denis Nikitin is the leader of the Russian Volunteer Corps and he was announced killed about two weeks ago. Russia just lost another plane which is becoming a regular occurrence this month. In Crimea, the Ukrainian SBU hit a recon plane designed to watch for submarines in the Black Sea. That opened the door for the submarine attack two weeks ago. Meanwhile, Putin is getting called out on his lies about battlefield progress as multiple Russian sources are complaining about the situation in Kupyansk.

Scratch two more fighter jets

Today we're looking into the continuation of a rough week for Russia. In just a few days, they've had three aircraft hit, a submarine, multiple radars, two S-400 launchers, a patrol vessel and a shadow fleet tanker. This has shown Ukraine's ability to strike sensitive military and economic targets at ranges exceeding 1,000 miles from their territory. Meanwhile, Putin strangely has doubled down on claims that Russia controls far more than they do at the front.

This is Operation Hawkeye Strike

Today we're looking into Operation Hawkeye Strike, a response to last week's attack that killed two US Soldiers and an interpreter in Syria. US Central Command says they went after 70 targets with more than 100 precision munitions and warned that any future attacks would be met with a similar response.

First a submarine, now a MiG-31 and S-400

It's been a tough stretch for Russia these last few days as Ukrainian drones have targeted some high value targets.  It started with the sub being hit in port in Crimea then overnight we got reports of an attack at Belbek airbase where a MiG-31, Pantsir and S-400 radars were targeted.  After that came footage of two S-400 launchers getting hit in Belgorod.  Meanwhile, Russia is holding firm that their soldiers control Kupyansk and that 19 Ukrainian battalions were eliminated in the fight there.

Zelensky is ready for elections

After Trump said Ukraine needs to have elections, Zelensky said 'ok'.  That promptly threw Russia into  frustration as they quickly decided to move the goalposts arguing that Zelensky isn't legitimate but also they can't hold elections like this. This also is frustratingly Trump arguing against his own interests as he tries to secure a ceasefire deal by Christmas.

Public opinion differs from current policy

These numbers are shocking

It's hard to grasp the scale of these atrocities

Today we're looking into the ongoing situation in Sudan where the RSF has been on a killing spree for more than a week. Nathaniel Raymond of the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab says compares this to the Rwandan genocide and says that more people may have been killed in the last ten days than in the two years of war in Gaza. Russia is hoping we detonate a warhead

Today we're looking into the recent nuclear test suggestions presented by President Trump and how Russia is responding to it. Overall, they seem to believe it will be a test of the systems rather than warheads but argue for a one-upping style response regardless of what happens. We're also seeing some Ukrainian reinforcements enter Pokrovsk but it's not clear yet if their goal is to create a buffer for exfil or actually try to take back portions of the city.

Things are getting serious down south

Troops are mixed all throughout the city

Today we're looking at the developing situation around Pokrovsk where Russia continues to press forward with small groups while attacking the edges with armored assaults. It's hard to understand the Trump administration's Ukraine policy unless we assume there is none, then it all starts to make sense. We've seen the waffling in both directions, frustrations mounting that it won't just stop and zero progress has so far been made. We're right back to where we started as President Trump decides that Putin actually wants peace and gives him a few more weeks to come up with a plan for an in-person meeting.  It's the same story we've seen multiple times before.  Something seems to have changed after Trump's call with Putin a few days ago as the topic of sending Tomahawks to Ukraine seemed to drive the discussion.

This is unusual timing for a retirement announcement

Today we're looking into the increased military operations in the Caribbean. Just yesterday, Adm. Holsey stepped down announcing his retirement as head of US SOUTHCOM one year into a three year assignment. This comes amidst reports that he had been at odds with Secretary Hegseth over the increasing strikes off the coast of Venezuela. Meanwhile, the most recent US strike appears to have left two crew members alive who are now detained aboard a US Navy vessel.

The Pentagon Press corps just left the building

Russia really tried this three times in a row

Today we're looking at yet another Russian armored assault near Pokrovsk where the attack appears to have been uncovered by Ukraine and subsequently stopped far from the line of contact. This is the third such assault in the last week and a significant change from Russian tactics elsewhere along the front. We also look at some battlefield updates in a few other areas and the ongoing Ukrainian deep strike campaign inside of Russia.

B-52s, F-16s and the CIA....that's a full day

Today the US flew B-52 bombers near Venezuela as a show of force following the fifth kinetic strike carried out yesterday. We also have reporting that the Sept 19th strike may have targeted Columbians and that the CIA is now authorized to conduct lethal ops inside of Venezuela.

Surprised they tried this again.

Today we're looking at the continued Russian armored assaults north of Pokrovsk.  They tried this a few days ago and lost about a dozen pieces of equipment and nearly 100 soldiers.  For some reason they tried again and generally met the same outcome.  We have footage from a few different Ukrainian units showing how this fight played out in recent days and then we look at a Russian assessment of how tanks can still be utilized on the modern battlefield.

This is one way to get Putin to negotiate

The US has been providing intelligence to Ukraine to assist with their deep strikes inside of Russia. This, added with the possibility of the US sending Tomahawks to Ukraine, has the ability to add additional pressure to get Putin to negotiate an end to the war.

Today we're looking at a Russian attack north of Pokrovsk where they tried to mass armored vehicles to break through Ukrainian lines.  They were quickly met by a wall of drones as tanks, APCs, tractors and motorcycles were destroyed along with at least 100 Russian soldiers.

Dozens were killed in this short, violent engagement

Overnight fighting erupted along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border as the Taliban responded to a recent Pakistani strike in Kabul. Numbers are mixed but it appears that at least dozens on each side were killed between the direct assaults and drone/air strikes. Today we wait to see if the hostilities continue or if that spike is more of a one off scenario.

All indications are that we're headed towards war

Today we're looking at the continued march towards war between the United States and Venezuela. There was an emergency meeting at the UN Security Council prompted by Venezuela who warned that an attack was imminent and we have reporting on what seems to have fallen apart in recent negotiations. There is still a debate about the legality of these operations but that appears to be losing steam as troops surge into the Caribbean.

This is the closest we've been to a viable peace in two years

Today we're looking into the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. We go over what it includes, what it doesn't and what to watch for going forward. As of this recording it appears the ceasefire is holding and now the big item to watch is the hostage and prisoner exchange set to take place in the next 72 hours.
