Watford FC announced yesterday that The head coach to replace Tom Cleverley was the 42-year-old Uruguayan Paulo Pezzolano, most recently at Real Valladolid.

Opening day victory for Watford, it's what we do. 5 years on the bounce. Watford started their 24/25 season away at Millwall - taking the DUB 3-2 in the 90th minute courtesy of a Rajovic header. After another 0-0 draw Watford secure championship football for the 24/25 season. With the worst points return in the championship under the Pozzo's; The third least wins in the championship this season. Could this be considered the worst season in the Pozzo tenure? We're back following a week of a draw and a loss. Two good performances against very tough promotion chasing opposition. A late handball led to a winner for Southampton despite the hornets battling from 2-0 down to what seemed like rescuing a point! We're back after a busy Easter week! Watford have now played four games under TC, losing none, drawing 3 and beating Birmingham, including taking both Leeds and WBA right to the edge conceding late. Positivity is swirling at Vicarage road and despite the draw against Preston extending the winless home run dating back to November's 3-2 victory over Norwich even further, Fans are beginning to ask the question whether Cleverley deserves the full-time role in August.
