I spent the day soaking up the sights, sounds, and soil-stained goodness of the 2025 Perth Garden Show at McCallum Park, great vibes!
Right by the Swan River, the place was packed with plant lovers, growers, weekend diggers, and sustainability legends from across WA.

There were lush display gardens to explore, passionate stallholders sharing tips, and loads of hands-on wisdom flying around—from native planting and permaculture to composting, worm farms, and water-wise tricks.

Diago cultivates choice mushroom varieties on his business premises in Morley, pumping out grow-boxes of predominantly Lions mane and oyster mushrooms, just to name a few. 
Diago's wonder and enthusiasm for all things fungi is contagious and in addition to the edible varieties, we found ourselves talking about many other wondrous facets of fungi, including the cancer-fighting power of Turkeytails and the cognitive benefits of consuming lion's mane fungus.
