Alan Truscott was the long-time bridge editor of The New York Times, and was an IBPA Executive member, serving as its president from 1981 to 1985. The Alan Truscott Memorial Award is presented periodically to an individual or organisation that, in the opinion of the IBPA Executive, has done something in the world of bridge that Alan would have approved of and appreciated.

Susanna's intelligence, humor, and fierce competitive spirit made her a beloved figure in the bridge world. Susanna's interview was originally broadcast in two parts, but today we are re-airing it in a combined form, ad free, in her honor, to celebrate her life, her love of the game, and the joy that she brought to so many. She was one of our all time favorite guests and will be greatly missed.
