This month, Matt summarizes an article from the APTA that covered strength and performance - based testing for patients that had a total knee replacement. Listen to why it's important to use these types of testing with a PT, rather than stopping your progress in recovery when you can bend your knee or walk again.  Highlighting the importance of starting PT as soon as you can after having surgery.

With pain so severe, most patients who have this diagnosis have trouble eating and talking and some even present symptoms of depression. Luckily she was able to be treated with Physical therapy and remained almost  symptom free 4 yrs post treatment!
